Austria – Salzberg
Written on November 15, 2006
Between my eastern/southern European adventure and Oktoberfest i had a day to kill so i took the train to Salzburg Austria for a day and night, it was overcast but overall a really historical (albeit touristy) beautiful city. Salzburg is best known for the birthplace of Mozart but it’s also famous for its spectacular castle and chocolate. I had a fantastic Greek dinner and took the venicular up to the castle. I would like to take a few more days to explore in and around the city, i will have to put it on my list.
Here is a great source of information on Salzburg.
