Colorado River trip, May 3rd

Written on May 4, 2008

Me on the Colorado

Greg and I headed out for a couple days of drifting and rapids including a cold night on the river. We put the boat in at the Pumphouse launch area near Kremmling Colorado. There was some doubt about the weather but it turned into a fantastic 2 days for our first float this season. Snow was plentiful at the higher elevations as well as a few spot along the river, however the day-time temperatures were in the 60′s with lots of sun. This will be a record run off for the snow melt, and we should see some incredible water here in June and July. Our pull out was a place called Ranch del Rio a few miles before state bridge. We tried a bit of fishing.. its been a while for this guy, but I had allot of fun throwing the lure around. Going to have to get a pole this summer!

Check out all the river rafting pics here!
